What to do if someone has gained access to my account?

If you suspect that an external party has gained access to your Coinmotion account, please contact our customer service immediately.

If you have suspicions of unauthorized use of your account, it is essential to inform our customer service so that the use of your account can be temporarily restricted.


What to do?

1. Change your password

If the security of your account has been compromised, it is important to immediately change your password. Also, update the password for other services you use on your device, as their security may also be at risk. How to create a strong password?

2. Check your account activity

Review your recent account activities to determine any unauthorized transactions. It is advisable to check at least your account's euro withdrawals/deposits and any recent crypto transfers. Report unauthorized actions to customer service without delay. 

3. Enable two-factor authentication

It is highly recommended to activate two-factor authentication (2FA) if you haven't already. 2FA provides significant additional security for your account because, with two-factor authentication enabled, just the account's username and password are not enough to log in and operate the account. 4. Update your device security

Ensure that the security software on your devices is adequate and up-to-date. If possible, perform a virus scan on your device. If there is reason to believe that there is spyware on your device, make sure to completely remove the program. You can seek assistance from an IT professional if necessary.

5. Contact authorities if needed
