Price alerts

Price and volatility alerts help you track the market and be on top of the moves. These are tools to help you track the market on a general note.

Price alerts

Price alerts notify you when a cryptocurrency reaches a specific price. Set a target price, and you'll receive a push notification the first time the price crosses that level during the day.

For example, if you set a BTC alert at 95,000€, you'll be notified the first time BTC's buy price reaches or crosses 95,000€. After triggering, the alert pauses for 24 hours to avoid repeated notifications. If the price crosses your target again after that, you'll be notified again.

Your alert stays active after it triggers — you don't need to set it up again.

Volatility alerts

Volatility alerts notify you when a cryptocurrency's price changes by more than your chosen percentage within 24 hours. Like price alerts, volatility alerts check against the buy price and pause for 24 hours after triggering.

For example, if you set a 5% volatility alert for ETH and ETH's buy price moves more than 5% within 24 hours (in either direction), you'll receive a push notification.

Push notification requirements

To receive alerts, push notifications need to be enabled in two places:

In the Coinmotion app: Go to Account → Settings and enable push notifications.

On your device: Make sure notifications from Coinmotion are allowed in your phone's settings.

If either of these is turned off, your alerts will still be active but you won't receive notifications.
