Depending on your account settings, you may receive a confirmation code during login either via email, text message, or the Authenticator app. By default confirmation codes are always sent to your email.
IP confirmation
If you are logging in from a new IP address, you will always receive the confirmation code for login via email, regardless of your account settings. You can disable IP confirmation from your account settings if you have enabled two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account.
Changing password
If you are changing your password, you may receive the confirmation code based on your account settings either via email, text message, Authenticator app, or a combination of these.
Logging in with 2FA
If you have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled through the Authenticator app, you must confirm login with the 2FA code. When 2FA is enabled through the Authenticator app, the login process proceeds as follows:
- Enter your username and password.
- If the information is correct, the service will prompt you for the two-factor authentication code.
- Enter the confirmation code from the Authenticator app on your phone.
