Biometric authentication

In the Coinmotion mobile application, it is possible to set up biometric authentication for logging in with fingerprint or face recognition depending on the settings of your mobile device.

Important: If you log in for the first time on a new device, or if you have previously logged into the mobile app only with online banking credentials, you will need to confirm the login with a separate verification code sent to your email. To receive the verification code, you need to log in with your username and password. Only after confirming the login on a new device will you be able to set up biometric authentication as the login method.

Enabling Biometric authorization:

  1. Login to your Coinmotion account
  2. Select Account Settings and Security Settings
  3. Activate Biometric authentication
  4. Register biometric login
  5. Log in with biometrics
  6. Biometric authentication is now available as a login method in the mobile app.

Disabling Biometric Authentication:

  1. Login to your Coinmotion account
  2. Select Account Settings and Security Settings
  3. Disable Biometric authentication
  4. Biometric authentication is no longer available as a login method.
