Migration of Polygon MATIC to POL

We will be converting all Polygon MATIC tokens to POL tokens, and for this reason, we will suspend MATIC trading during the conversion process. The conversion will take place at a ratio of 1 MATIC = 1 POL during May 2025. We offer trading and custody of POL in partnership with our partner Bitpanda.

If you hold MATIC assets and do not wish to convert them to POL, you may sell the assets on the Trading page, or transfer them out of Coinmotion immediately. Once the conversion is complete, you can purchase Polygon POL tokens as usual. Previous MATIC transactions will appear as POL transactions in the transaction report after the conversion.

Polygon transfers will no longer be supported

After the conversion, it will not be possible to transfer Polygon MATIC or Polygon POL to or from Coinmotion. Please do not make any more transfers to your old Coinmotion Polygon address, as you may permanently lose your assets.

Altcoins as part of the expansion service

We will list Polygon (POL) on our platform in cooperation with our partner Bitpanda. You can identify altcoins in the expansion service by the asterisk (*) symbol. Altcoins marked with an asterisk cannot be transferred off the platform, and the trading fee for these altcoins is a fixed 2%.
